After working in the Bay Area on projects at a range of scales, Erik joined Ground Studio’s Monterey office to focus on carefully crafted modern residential projects.
Erik grew up amidst the foggy redwood forests of California’s north coast. After college, a yearlong Watson Fellowship spent visiting memorials in Europe, Asia, and Africa prompted Erik to pursue a design career. An interest in how places and landscapes serve as touchstones for meaningful experiences continues to infuse his work.
Erik holds a Master’s of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s in political philosophy from Whitman College.
